The years have flown on but I am impressed how the computers have grown to be a necessity in our lives. Society is reliant on the old and newfound artificial intelligence, the creepy algorithms, endless apps and everchanging programming. I have always been a mother who wanted to teach my son truth and skills so public schools just aren't our thing. Well I'm learning it may be my son's but thank Jesus that we are so far along that a laptop can give him all the aspects of education and tools to navigate his desires within the educational system. I bought this laptop after my old one died on me. In the beginning, this was a great replacement laptop and since I had so much of my files in cloud storage, it was very easy to restore and download them to this new laptop. I was back up and running fairly quickly. However, this past week (Week of September 6, 2022) I've had issues where after shutting down the laptop, it wouldn't come on after pressing the power button(power adapter was plugged in). Or the power light on the side of the laptop was blinking after putting it in sleep mode and then it won't "wake back up" after tapping the mouse or quick pressing the power button. I end up having to do a hard shut-down by holding the power button until it turns off. Then after a few seconds press it again to turn it back on and then it'll start up.
Ultimately, 6 months in, and I'm already looking for a new laptop. I might just go and get a Chromebook and then get a new desktop computer. HP laptops and I are clearly having a run of bad luck.

After hours of fighting with updates and update troubleshooter we decided this is not a good start and decided to return it. The updates never did complete, kept failing and saying retry. USB ports never worked for mouse, perhaps the drivers needed loaded but again never got all the updates installed. Came with windows 7. We have had good luck with refurbished items in the past.

I keep expecting the machine to go backwards, it’s so slow. I was trying to explain it to my husband when I finally had to show him.
All I was doing was drag and dropping a one page document into an email. I did then lifted my hands off the keyboard and we watched it crawl slowly, slowing, slowly into the email.
The other issue I have is the screen. I’m bought it so I could use photoshop on my Etsy products to upload to Etsy.
First I spent a couple hours on Photoshop, got every photo the way I wanted then I uploaded to my Dropbox. When I view the files on my iPhone, each photo looks like you burned it for hours, moved the exposure bright enough to be able to see the photo, and had the contrast turned up to 11.
So then I used the Photoshop I have on my iPhone, corrected the photos the photos I needed ASAP. Same thing, kind of, if I edit on laptop, the photos look very dark with very the reds/oranges a crazy psychedelic bright colors. If I edit on my iPhone and view on laptop, it’s the complete opposite. The photos are almost white, zero contrast and just terrible.
My concern is. when I post online, do I upload the black photoshoped pics or go with the washed out iPhone photos?
Meabing which machine should I using to sell.

PC was advertised as Windows 10, however when it came in there was a message that "We have given you the latest and have upgraded to Window 11". I Precisely ordered The PC to get windows 10 as windows 11 has a problem that precludes the work I am doing with Visual Basic 2022. VB 2022 will not allow you to open a file and gives you an error message "file not found" if it is running under W11. The error message even gives the actual path of the file but cannot open it. Running the VB software on an old, slow Windows 10 PC will allow the file to be opened. So needed Windows 10 PC and this one was advertised incorrectly as Windows 10,

I ordered one of these . After a couple of weeks I just decided that I can't take its moods anymore. Screens will constantly pop up out of nowhere. I'll type a comment or something and the next moment everything I've typed has disappeared. Or I'll be busy typing and the next moment the cursor has moved all by itself higher up on the page where I've already typed. My stomach is constantly in a knot when I use the laptop because I just know it is going to screw me around. So I ordered a replacement. Long story short, the replacement are up to the exact same tricks as the first one. Don't buy!

I am very very disappointed that the port needed for putting in the thumb drive to transfer data from my old laptop did not work. My blue tooth would not work in the port. I am very disappointed that there was not a quality control check on the laptop to be sure that it was working before it was sent to me causing me to not trust amazon when needing to get other electronics!! Now I have to wait for a Ups pick up of the laptop and its arrival at your facility to be scanned before I can get my refund. I am worried the procedure will take a lot of days

The laptop has only FOUR meg of ram and can only upgrade to 8. Hard drive is small. For a machine that has such positive video and sound it cannot operate modern software. I won't make this mistake again.
