This is very versatile. I can use it like a tablet and like a laptop. The battery life is very good. This purchase was mainly so I could finish college courses and as a teaching tool. It has been helpful for me doing Sunday school and preaching. If you're an instructor of any sort this would be an awesome resource for you. Cost is quite generous. It won't break your wallet. The only thing I would change is having a caps key where the left side search key is. Also 2 click tabs below the touch pad.

I got this computer a little while back and has been perfect for me. First love the color of the computer really nice. Second the touch screen is so great. Third such great screen quality really good if your outside in the sun or in your room at night. But the only thing that made me give this a four was that the battery does not last so long and if your charging your phone the battery runs out kinda quick.

There is no micro sd card slot, which is one of the main reasons I bought this laptop as opposed to many of the other ones similar this this one on the market.
It arrived and I realized it didn't have this feature as advertised so after talking with Amazon customer service for quite some time, they told me they would provide me with a replacement.
Well, the replacement did not have the MicroSD card slot either.

The laptop may have been fine. I will never know. I had trouble connecting to my WiFi (all other devices connected and working fine, re-entered password well over a dozen times and the password showed as correct) so I called HP customer service. It was very challenging to get through to them and I was disconnected the first time after having been on hold for over 30 minutes so had to go to the back of the line. When I was connected to CS again after another half hour the CS ( who spoke English as a second language fairly well) was pleasant but I was horrified at her suggestion: that I download to a USB drive a third party software (that had 3 out of 5 stars customer reviews) as a means of fixing the issue. I was most definitely not going to risk causing damage to the laptop for which I would be responsible by introducing software that was not HP made. I told the CS that courteously and hung up and initiated the return process. I will not be buying a HP product again because of the totally unacceptable customer support.

While I did enjoy using this flipbook, it did not meet my needs. Multi tab browsing is slow, and the wireless speed was not great. Loading more than one tab that maybe had a images or video would cause it to load whatever tab youre on abysmally slow to the point of just watching it on my phone. A whopping .08 upload speed next to the router. I dont know what I expected for something that cost less than my phone, but the performance aspect of this chromebook is lacking. The touchscreen and tablet mode are great, but only in daylight. The screen has a small viewing angle, so it can only be viewed from about a 15 degree segment right at it, top to bottom. if you flip it into portrait mode, this all goes out the window and you see black spots throughout the screen. Bluetooth disconnected often. was really frustrating with headphones.
Perhaps the most egregious problem, is that whenever you needed to switch wifi networks, despite having been on the network, required a password. I have 2 in my home to cover the area, and it was a pain to constantly type in the password to reconnect.

Almost perfect.... But the screen is the kind that can only be viewed at exactly one correct angle. If viewed from any other angle, it washes out or appears dark. I honestly forgot that screens like this even existed, it's been so long since I've seen one. Ironic, given the "viewing from any angle" claim. Everything else is great.

I know it's not very expensive, but I expected the screen to be of sensible quality. Viewing angle is non-existing (which may be good for security, as noone will see athing if they are not looking at it at exactly 90 degrees), colours are not bright, it is dim, there is some tint not pleasant to an eye, so broadly speaking you won't use it for films or anything really but reading text.
Even when you look at it at 90° angle the picture on the sides is fading, it is that bad...

Poor build quality! The mousepad gets stuck when you click and both of the hinges need replaced because the screen wont stay in the upright position. Its only been used for about 60 days so its never going to last my son a full school year. HP warranty can repair since within 90 days but I have to ship it in and then my son won't have a laptop for a few weeks, which means he can't do his required school work.
Battery life good but it doesn't make up for 2 broken items this quickly. Better off spending more to get better quality.

I ordered this Chromebook (brand new) in March. The touchscreen and keyboard started malfunctioning 3 weeks after purchase. I quickly reached out to Amazon and they told me I had to contact the seller directly. I messaged the seller through Amazon and they responded 1 day later. The seller stated "If it is within the return window, you can initiate the return, once we receive the item back. If it has the problem, we will process refund or replacement." They never directly listed the return deadline on Amazon nor did they provide me with information on how to confirm it. I reached out to them a second time, a few days later, to start the return process. They said I was outside of the return window. They told me to contact the manufacturer directly!!! So the keyboard and touchscreen stopped working right around the time that my return window closed???...what a coincidence. I am not happy with this purchase. I would give this seller 0 stars if possible. I wasted $310.00!!! Now I'm sitting here with a broken Chromebook. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!!

I am extremely disappointed in my chrome book. I had it for about 4 months and the keyboard stopped working. I researched to see if I could resolve the issue to no avail and when I tried to reach out to the seller with an auto response saying there is nothing they could do. Some times things go wrong with products, but to spend $300 on a computer for it to work for 4 months and not even get a response from the seller when you reach out is not acceptable.

This computer is not capable of doing anything. You cannot download anything, or run any programs. Not even the office suite. I decided to purchase a different laptop and return this one, and now the company is refusing to issue me a refund stating that it is "greatly used". NO. I couldn't use it for anything and only had the computer for a couple of weeks before I gave up on it.
