amazing, solid travel laptop for photographers and business
For years while working in government I used Apple Macbooks but didn't want to spend the money on them for my own private use. Starting a good 10 years ago I converted over, and my life really is much simpler: Iphone synchs to my macbook and I love the sturdiness of the iwatch, that survives no matter what I'm doing, be it swimming, hiking, the gym, etc. So, I'm into travel photography and go all over the world so needed a small relatively lightweight computer to take with me, and decided on the macook pro 13 inch (upgraded 3 years ago to the m1 chip 13 inch, and now the 2023 m3 chip 1 tbssd laptop.
My 2021 macbook is working fine, and the cycle count is under 500, but regardless, after three years I wanted to get a newer version. Amazon has an Asurion 4 year drops/spills warranty for only $189 so I'll be getting that as well.
There is not much to say about macbooks except they are so user friendly, intuitive, built like tanks (I dropped mine at a local airport 3 years ago and it never stopped working). The speed of the m1 chip was very fast and now the m3 chip is 30% or so faster. My plan for video work is to get the M3 pro 16inch with a terabyte of ssd as my editing station at home and travel with the 14 inch version. Thanks to Amazon for a great delivery and carefully making sure that this laptop was in good working order. I can't speak highly enough for how generous Amazon is to its customers.

A fair price for exactly what i ordered
It is exactly what I was looking for and was a great replacement for my old MacBook Pro. I’m just sorry I had to replace my old MacBook because it was running fine. My latest tax software just was not supported by the old IOS. Kind of a waste in my opinion since my old MacBook Pro had an I7 processor with plenty of RAM and a 64 bit operating system. I would have happily paid for and update to keep my system compatible as the old machine met my needs and it is way more environmentally friendly to keep it running instead of replacing it.

Another MacBook that does not disappoint.
I have used Mac products for over 30 years. This is my 4th MacPro/MacBook laptop. My first one was when I was as a teacher and then I decided to buy one for myself. At the time it , was much more expensive than any other laptop, but the one I had before was not a Mac and I always got viruses.

This one was also more expensive than other ones I was looking at. I’m retired now so I don’t need a laptop that much except for personal use. After looking at others, I went back and said I’m going to splurge again and buy myself another MacBook. My last one lasted me over eight years.

I love that it syncs with all of my other Apple products. I have it set up so I can get my text messages when I am on my laptop and I can make my phone calls

My last laptop died suddenly. That’s when I decided not to get it fixed but get a new one and then if necessary, I would transfer all the data. If had to go to somebody, I would’ve done that.

Once I put my Apple ID in ,the laptop synced with my older laptop, that was next to it. I think most of the stuff has been transferred at least the important stuff. I haven’t used it very long and I haven’t had the time to check all of my documents, but it was so nice not to worry about losing everything when the old laptop died.

One of the nicest features is the keyboard. The keys are easy to touch and are very clear. There are no sticky buttons you can tell these are much better quality than some of the cheaper laptops.

The battery is great. It lasts a very long time. I can go all day long with having it on and going on it most of the day and still have a good percentage of my battery left at night. It also charges up very quickly.

The build on this MacBook Pro is very impressive, apple makes great quality products that will never disappoint, I’m very happy with my purchase. This is a definite upgrade from my old pc. The battery life is perfect, I still can run 2 days on it with moderate use, the battery and fast processor is a win in my opinion. The vivid colors on the screen will definitely impress you. Definitely portable with a nice weight to it. I really recommend any product from apple.
