If you need to run virtual machines it’s capable
This is a great laptop for students. I’m an IT major that does a lot of ram intensive processes and this laptop handles it relatively well. After doing a bit of research on some system configurations to optimize performance I was able to run virtual machines on it without overextending the ram too much. If you’re running processes that aren’t as intense as VM’s this is a great laptop for you.

First time Mac user after using nothing but PCs. Could not pass up the deal for this brand new 2020 laptop in 2023. I’m also a long time user of an iPhone and iPad. The laptop is perfect in so many ways. Very fast, easy to use overall. There are minor things that you notice after switching from a PC, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it in due time. Battery life is absolutely incredible. Able to have it at full use and not beed To charge it for a while. Once you sign in with your Apple ID it connects all of your associated devices seamlessly. Was hesitant at first to switch to MAC and buy the older model, but was sold on it immediately after using.

Good for the reasons I purchased it which was school and movie watching. It does those two very well. but as a bonus you can also game on it and it honestly runs games pretty smooth. Obviously it depends on what you play, I use an emulator to play n64 games and it does that perfectly, I was surprised how smooth the games and emulator would run on the mac. The screen and sound quality are great and the battery life lasts all day.
